What is a sani trim?
A sanitary trim, or sani trim, keeps the hair short around your dog's private areas and belly. Long hair there traps moisture and mess, which can lead to odor and irritated skin, especially in Florida heat. A sani trim keeps things clean and comfortable.
It is a delicate job, so Amanda does it slowly and gently, one-on-one, in her calm shop. Your pup is never rushed.
- Hygienic areas trimmed short and neat
- Belly tidied for comfort
- Available on its own, with a bath or as part of a full groom
Who needs one?
Long and medium coated dogs benefit most: doodles, poodles, shih tzus, maltese, yorkies, spaniels and many mixes. Senior dogs and puppies who are still learning can also be a lot more comfortable with a regular sani trim.

Common questions
How often does my dog need a sani trim?
Every three to six weeks works for most long coated dogs, or with every bath.
Is a sani trim included in a full groom?
A tidy of the hygienic areas is part of a full groom. A sani trim can also be booked on its own between grooms.
My dog is sensitive back there. Is that okay?
Tell Amanda in your request. She goes gently and at your dog's pace.
Can I book a sani trim with a bath?
Yes. Add both to your request.
